WOODS SE llc is a people powered structural engineering firm offering consulting services for architects, engineers, builders and owners, on commercial, civic and residential projects, large and small. Our innovative team excels at being nimble and responsive, blending with design and building teams of all types. We are also known for thoughtful and constructive review, feedback and collaborations.

We are located at elevation 4700′, just 20 minutes from the 8900′ Mt. Rose highway summit in Reno, Nevada, and many of our projects are in the heavy snow and high seismic region of Lake Tahoe, Truckee and the eastern Sierra. Principal engineer Louis (Rocky) Woods PE/SE was previously a founder+principal engineer at Gabbart and Woods Tahoe Partners in Truckee, CA (1995-2025) gabbartandwoods.studio , leading several hundred successful engineering projects and collaborating with other engineers on hundreds more.
Our firm is also a member of the CANYON STUDIO engineering group (canyongroup.studio).
